Studies of statistical data. In the background, ‘Auschwitz’ and in the foreground ‘Tsunami’. Both represent surface pattern whilst a depth of statistical data including geographical and demographic information underpins these large paintings.

Here’s the (expensive but well printed) flyers for the ‘Solo’ exhibition whose main aim was to support the Solo Antarctica expedition - an unsupported attempt for one man to go to the South Pole and back unassisted. The expedition starts on November 2nd 2008 and will last a staggering 1400 miles and 82 days! The exhibition was from the 18th October through to the 26th October 2008.

Finally the paintings can be viewed in the new gallery space. And they looked excellent too! The paintings themselves are large pieces, some almost eight feet tall. The public were duly impressed by the amount of work and detail in each painting which is a hallmark of Adam’s work.

After a lot of effort, cash and stress, the new gallery opens on time. Besides a few tweaks for the October exhibition there shouldn’t be too much to do or buy.
